PSC GOLF – GROWLING SWAN
Silky Oak – 27th February, 2017
Schembri’s Good Form Continues!
Fourteen golfers headed out to Silky Oak on a sunny morning. The conditions were perfect with little wind about, and it seemed for good scoring, especially as we were playing off the white tees.
Greeting was handed out to Dennis O’Brien, and Reid Sheftall, and a fond farewell to Kevin Smith heading back to Melbourne after a 2 month stay.
So only one Division today and it was won by Jayson Schembri, who has been in good form recently after his form a month or so ago was something less than ordinary! He came in with a 42 point score, and claimed to have not made a decent putt. Was still good enough to win by 4 points.
Coming in second was someone else who apparently had trouble with the flat stick, new comer Reid Shetall, a plastic surgeon working in Cambodia, who once earned a player’s card on the Malaysian PGA Tour, and had played professional golf there. Reid scored 38 points
Third spot saw Kevin Smith who had his best round since he has been here who returned an excellent 37 points. Enough to beat Dave Maw in a Countback.
A Grade (0-36):
1st Jayson Schembri (21) 42 pts
2nd Reid Sheftall (5) 38 pts
3rd Kev Smith (28) 37 pts
3 Stu Rifkin
8 Alex Field
14 Dennis O’Brien
16 Bill Holborow
9 Kevin Smith
18 Reid Sheftall
Alex Field let D-For off his chain to collect donations, the Swan’s players and punters are a very generous bunch and keep giving to D-For. All are thanked for their continued contributions to assist the needy children of Pattaya.
