GROWLING SWAN 18/6

PAUL SHARPLES COMES to TOWN-PARICHAT– 18TH JUNE, 2018. STABLEFORD.

It was yet again a small field that headed out Monday to take on the challenge of Parichat Golf Course. Better known to most here as the ball course as our crew donate balls at a record number every time we play the course.

Not the last time we played but a couple of trips back we lost (3 different golfers) 13, 15 and 18 balls all on the one day. A great course that can test you and I guess that’s why we head back every couple of months.

I would also like to say that the people at the course are very friendly and go out of their way to help you, this visit they gave all golfers a litre of Beer. Prior to this visit it was a meal voucher, I guess they are doing all they can to promote the course.

The course was in good nick so we took it on from The White Tees, weather was on our side, not too hot and a breeze that made things a little easier. Greens were somewhat tricky, on one hole you had to putt uphill, unfortunately if you were not built like Big Arnie the ball would meet you going back to beyond where you started. That’s golf!

It was Paul Sharples that showed the way, not sure as to how many balls Paul lost, but he was the one that came up with the most points earned on the day. Second past the post was Bill Steinmann four shots behind our leader and Paul Hack was third past the post.

Not many reveals as to how many balls lost on the day, Andy was honest and admitted to me that he lost 11, I guess he had to as he borrowed them from me!
